The awards were presented by Deputy Rector Dr. Nahas Mala and MediaOne Managing Editor C. Dawood.
The event was presided over by Al Jamia Alumni Association President Dr. A. A. Haleem, while C. Dawood delivered the keynote address.
Dr. K. Ilyas Moulavi, Director of the Al Jamia Research Fellowship Program, K. Abdussalam (son of Abdullah Hassan Sahib), Alumni Treasurer U. T. Muhammedali, Urdu Alumni Coordinator Kashif Hassan, Al Jamia SIO President Saeed V. K., and Al Jamia GIO President Fathwima Sherin extended their felicitations.
This year’s recipients of the awards were Sheikh Hasan Ahmad from Andhra Pradesh (Usooluddin Course) and Muhammad Sarwar Sameed from Telangana (Sharia Course).
Alumni Association General Secretary Basheer Thrippanachi welcomed the gathering, while Alumni Secretary Shameem Choonur delivered the vote of thanks.
The session began with recitation of few verses from Qur’an by Ishaq Muhammad.
